Newly minted TM January delivered her Ice Breaker speech as she told her story and her name. The Maharlikans soon found out why she was given that particular name and that she prefer to be called Jan. TM Peter then displayed his martial art skills by demonstrating the method of taking down opponents using the techniques he learned in judo. Peter even dressed the part and had his judo team mate Paolo to spar with.
TM Jing then told the story on why couples sometimes feel that a marriage can also become a life sentence. Being a lawyer, the likened some marriages as "reclusion perpetua" or life imprisonment. Some may disagree with Jing but the dashing lawyer said that he isn't against marriage whatsoever. TM Ferlin is just one step away from the coveted Competent Communicator role after she delivered her ninth speech. CC/ALB Ed Vil then retold the age-old story of David and Goliath in the most colorful way he could think of. Wrapping up the prepared speech portion was CC/ALB Bong who demonstrated the techniques used for photographing portraits using flashes of light.
It was also the first time for TM Tina as the General Evaluator. CC Vivian was given the role of Table Topics Master for the first time. It was also TM Hanna's first stint as Grammarian and TM Kai as Timer. Two guests were present, one being Peter's team mate, Paolo, and the other was the frequent Maharlika visitor, ACS Lynn Gamboa.
