Dr. King's dream has slowly become a reality when America elected and sworn in its first colored President, Barack Obama. It ushers in a new era for the US, where only a few decades ago, people of different colors sat on different parts of the bus, ate at different restaurants, and even walked on different parts of the sidewalk.
The meeting last January 20th also marks the return of CC Peter from a 19-day pleasure trip to the US. Unfortunately, he had vertigo before his flight home so he forgot his gift of chocolates for his fellow Maharlikans. He was Table Topics Master for the meeting and since there weren't any prepared speakers, he just threw out eight questions for the willing participants.
CC Erika is proving to be a prolific recruiter for the club. She brought three guests, all from UST.
