The morning started slow since it was a Sunday morning. After the opening formalities, PP Noel Santos of RC Balintawak started the proceedings by explaining the importance of the DTTS to the current crop of officers. As most of the attendees were former District Officers themselves, PP Noel did not elaborate further on the importance of the event, and instead, concentrated on the thrusts of the District and Rotary International as a whole.
Quickly following PP Noel was PDRR and Immediate Past MDIO Chair Devie Ontolan who discussed the strategies in reviving inactive clubs. Being a Past DRR herself, Devie knows first-hand the problems every leader of the Rotaract District are facing when it comes to attendance recovery. She itemized the problems with attendance into three different levels, from the Rotaract club level to the Rotary-Rotaract relationship.
PDRR Joewell Monreal then discussed the basic roles and responsibilities of the District Officers. He focused on realigning the priorities of the Officers - from looking very closely at their respective clubs on to a bigger playing field, the district as a whole.
After the lunch break, DRR Virgil discussed his plans for the District for the incoming Rotary Year.
