super safari

Secretary Erika brought the Maharlika Toastmasters Club to the wild side as she hosted the meeting with the theme "Super Safari". She showed the club that she is a lover of animals and that she knows a lot of things regarding the world's fauna.

TM Peter had multiple roles again for the meeting as her beau Kai fell sick and couldn't make it as the Table Topics Master. Peter showed he was a trooper (as Aida pointed out) by accepting the role a few hours before the meeting. He challenged the Maharlikans with deep, thought-provoking questions regarding the animal kingdom.

TM Bob didn't show a bit of nerve as he delivered his Ice Breaker Speech. He showed great confidence and talent in speech construction as he painted a picture of his humble beginnings up to his present success in business.

Peter was the second prepared speaker for the night and he persuaded everyone to visit (or re-visit) the province of Bohol. He showed lots of pictures from his recent trip there. Bohol ranks very high in the must-see places in the Philippines because of the lovely beaches, the one-of-a-kind chocolate hills, and the world's smallest primate could be found in Bohol too, the tarsier.

ACB Mimosa also delivered an advanced speech. She inspired everyone to dress properly to gain the respect he/she deserves. She took a story from an Arab author who was once denied the proper courtesy because he didn't dress the part.

CC Tina once again acted as the General Evaluator for the meeting. TC came in an animal print top, fitting the theme for the evening. Guest evaluator President Nona of El Presidente TMC gave her feedback for the advanced speech of Mimi. Nona even brought along one of her members, and she displayed great mastery of the English language as she acted as the Grammarian for the meeting.

Attendance for the meeting was very high, with four non-TM guests. We also like to welcome back KC after a long absence from the club.
