rac amazing race

Penultimate installment for RAC District 3780's commemoration of World Rotaract's 40th Anniversary Celebration. This time, RAC's version of "The Amazing Race" and "Battle of Rotaractors" was held on Easter Sunday, March 23, at the University of the Philippines, Diliman Campus. Fittingly, the Rotaract Club of Diliman hosted the Amazing Race while the Battle of the Rotaractors was hosted by the Rotaract Club of Balintawak.

The day started bright and early for the Rotaractors as they gathered on the famed "Oblation" of UP Dil. First to arrive was the newest Rotaract Club on the block, RAC UCC or Universal College of Computer, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Cubao, Kamias. RAC UCC also had the distinction of bringing the largest delegation, a monumental feast itself since it was their baptism of fire in the world of Rotaract.

RAC Diliman asked the reinforcement of RAC STI Makati for their hosting of the Amazing Race. They stationed two members for the six stops planned for entire challenge. Each stop had different tasks to be performed before moving to the next leg of the race. Majority of the participants found the challenges a bit difficult if not tiring. The race could have been a little less stressful, and a lot more enjoyable since it was an Easter morning and everyone was there to have fun and enjoy the company of each other.

Team Number 2 or "Palaban Since Birth" composed of Rotaractors from RAC Murphy, Timog, UCC, and Diliman North emerged as winners for the Amazing Race when they reached the final pit stop first. They were each handed an Easter Egg for their efforts. After a brief rest, the Rotaractors gathered under the shade of the trees for the Battle of the Rotaractors. PDRR Joewell Monreal of RAC Balintawak provided the questions for the quiz bee.
